You are searching for information about your ancestors? Have a look at our powerful search engine Search persons, a handy tool for your genealogical research.
The database behind the Search persons engine is the result of decades of committed (volunteer) work. Thousands of pages of archival documents such as certificates of birth, baptism, marriage and death were and still are systematically analysed and described. Names are recorded but if available also other useful data such as date of birth, place of birth, etc. The database gives access to all of these information, but not – except in a few cases – to the actual records.
The database Search persons contains over 41 million names and is updated on a regular basis, gradually increasing the online offer of the State Archives.
