Attention! The reading room of the Archives of the Royal Palace will be closed for 3 months starting on wednesday 11 October 2017 due to building works. The Archives of the Royal Palace can still be joined by e-mail and phone during this period.

Attention! The reading room of the Archives of the Royal Palace will be closed for 3 months starting on wednesday 11 October 2017 due to building works. The Archives of the Royal Palace can still be joined by e-mail and phone during this period.

The reading room of the Archives of the Royal Palace located rue Ducale/Hertogstraat in Brussels will be closed during 3 months in order to carry out major renovation and modernisation works: electricity, coputer network, painting, floor covering, etc.

this closure implies the following for the public:

  • The reading room will be closed as from wednesday 11 October 2017. It will reopen on wednesday 3 January 2018 at the latest.

  • The Archives of the Royal Palace can still be contacted by e-mail and phone (+32 (0) 2 551 20 20) during the works.

Meanwhile, the Archives of the Royal Palace remain open upon appointment from Tuesday 2 to Friday 6 October 2017 and on Tuesday 10 October 2017 from 9.00 am to 12.15 pm and from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm.

The State Archives apologises for any inconvenience due to the works and is looking forward to welcoming you again in a fully renovated and modernised reading room.
